Mitts© is more than a plush character, he’s a symbol of connection, creativity, and curiosity.

Originally imagined in 2018 by Andru and Adrienne Valpy, Mitts was created during a time when they were living in different countries.

With one human in Pennsylvania and the other in Ontario, they wanted a fun, heartwarming way to stay close while celebrating their shared love of storytelling and travel.

Together, with the help of their friend, they designed Mitts from scratch, inspired by the charm of “Where the Wild Things Are” and brought to life in plush form by the talented team at Budsies in Florida.

From his signature blue fur and stubby horns to his oversized glasses and stitched heart, every part of Mitts was carefully crafted to reflect Andru and Adrienne’s vision.

Mitts became their way of showing the world (and each other) the places they called home, one photo at a time. The result? A series of adorable, quirky, and joyful moments shared online as #Mittstagrams.

Since then, Mitts has evolved into more than just a travel buddy. He’s become a character with personality, presence, and purpose.

He’s traveled to 5 countries, 10 U.S. states, and 3 Canadian provinces, and he now lives with his humans in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
